In May, second grade students wrote persuasive letters to encourage the people of Raymond to protect the Earth by doing such things as not littering, recycling and using less oil. They did a great job because each of the students used facts in order to encourage people to see their point of view. You can see some of these letters at the Raymond Area News website. – Ellen
Next School Board Meeting
The School Board is holding their regular meeting this Wednesday evening. First on the agenda, they will be recognizing our retirees and our nominees throughout the year for the You Make the Difference Awards. Following that, students from IHGMS will be talking with the Board about their trip to Washington D.C.
The Board will be hearing a request to consider a bus stop for a new development being constructed on Route 107. Mr. Woodward will be presenting the 2017-18 RHS Student Handbook for approval. And the Board will be taking action to accept donations from the Hannaford Helps Schools program and the Knights of Columbus Tootsie Roll Fund.
Policy IHBG-R Home Education/Dual Enrollment will be going before the Board for its final reading. Policies IKF High School Graduation Policy and IKFA-R Early Graduation Plan will be read by the Board for the first of two readings. Revisions to both policies are to include the civics requirements of RSA 89:11. Additionally, the High School Graduation Policy is updated to reflect all completion options, including the new Honors Diploma and Certificates of Completion.
The Board will be scheduling a time for Dr. McCoy to be in the District as part of a beginning transition plan prior to her start in July.
The Board will then be considering the purchase of Chromebooks from this year’s surplus funds.

Support Staff – June Meeting Dates to Complete Health Assessments
Karen Stuart, from Human Resources, will be at each school in June to help all support staff complete their online confidential Health Assessments through Cigna to receive their Choice Fund. The Choice Fund is provided by SchoolCare to cover the first portion of the services that apply to your deductible. You must take the Health Assessment from June 1st through July 31st or you will not receive the Choice Fund. The whole process should take less than 10 minutes. Below are the scheduled dates and times:
